Decorative: 7 Collaboration Ideas to Grow Your Holistic Business

Collaborating with like-minded health and wellbeing professionals can be a powerful way to grow your business, expand your reach, and deepen the value you offer to your clients.

They offer the opportunity to expand your reach, connect with new audiences, and provide your clients with other complementary approaches for their health and well-being. By working with other businesses in the industry, you can leverage each other’s expertise, resources, and networks to create innovative solutions and provide more value to your clients.

By embracing collaboration, you can create a dynamic, supportive network of partners who share your passion for health and well-being, and work together to make a positive impact on the lives of your clients.

I’ve been inspired to do more collaborations by one of my lovely clients, who is creating an incredible business with her natural talent for networking, building relationships, and collaborating with other businesses. She has a group of trusted health and well-being professionals whom she recommends to her audience on a regular basis.

7 Ideas to Consider:

There are so many ways to work alongside other holistic businesses. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refresh your current approach, these ideas will give you inspiration on how to collaborate in a way that feels natural, supportive, and aligned.

  1. Partner with a local health and beauty business, such as a gym, yoga studio, or hairdresser, to offer exclusive offers to each other's customers. This can help you reach a ready-made audience of self-care-conscious clients who are already investing in their own well-being.

When I first worked as a practitioner, I rented a room from a local hairdresser and created an offer for their customers, which was successful and provided me with numerous clients.

  2. Work with practitioners who support the same client group in different ways—such as a nutritionist, mindset coach, or therapist—to create a more holistic offering. This allows you to co-create more comprehensive client support while referring clients confidently to trusted professionals.

  3. Host joint wellness workshops or classes with other local holistic businesses, such as yoga practitioners, meditation teachers, or homeopaths. Joint events can introduce your approach to a new audience in a trusted setting, making it easier to build rapport and attract new clients.

A friend who is a rehabilitation Pilates teacher does this with other practitioners, such as medical herbalists who support the same client group but in different ways, and it works brilliantly to grow her audience and introduce her approach to others.

  4. Host wellness retreats or weekend getaways. These can be with other wellness businesses, such as spas or meditation centres that are already set up for this type of event, or run independently by a group of practitioners at a suitable venue, such as a woodland lodge. Retreats are a fantastic way to offer clients a deeper experience while sharing costs, energy, and promotion with other practitioners.

  5. You could partner with companies offering wearable wellness trackers, meditation apps, or health platforms to enhance your client experience. This adds a modern edge to your offerings and helps position your business as forward-thinking and innovative.

  6. Partner with a local restaurant, farmer’s market, or meal delivery service to offer healthy food options to your clients. Sharing resources and audiences with food-focused businesses can help reinforce your healthy lifestyle message and build local visibility.

  7. Join forces with wellness community hosts, online membership groups, bloggers, or podcast creators who serve your ideal clients. This helps you expand your reach, build credibility, and get in front of engaged audiences who already value health and wellbeing.

Collaborations are such a powerful way to build an amazing support network of holistic practitioners who share your passion for health and well-being and market your business in the process.

Take a moment to reflect on which of these collaboration ideas feels most aligned with your business right now. Which one feels exciting, or even just a little bit doable? Start there - even the smallest step towards collaboration can be the start of something amazing.

Collaborating with like-minded practitioners is one of the core ways I grow my own business. I speak at events like the Herbal Medicine Conference, run workshops for wellness memberships, and create training for the College of Osteopaths. All of which builds my personal network and visibility in the process.
